अटल नवाचार मिशन, नीति आयोग और माईगव ने ‘इनोवेट इंडिया प्लेटफॉर्म’ लांच किया
- अटल नवाचार मिशन के निदेशक आर.रमणन और माईगव के सीईओ अरविंद गुप्ता ने 26 जुलाई 2018 को 'इनोवेट इंडिया प्लेटफॉर्म’ लांच किया है, जो अटल नवाचार मिशन और भारत सरकार के नागरिक केंद्रित प्लेटफॉर्म ‘माईगव’ के बीच गठबंधन है।
- इनोवेट इंडिया पोर्टल देश में होने वाले समस्त अभिनव कदमों के लिए एक साझा केंद्र के रूप में काम करेगा।
- यह प्लेटफॉर्म सभी भारतीय नागरिकों के लिए खुला हुआ है। इसके उपयोगकर्ता (यूजर) इनोवेट इंडिया पोर्टल पर एकत्रित नवाचारों को देख सकते हैं, टिप्पणी एवं साझा कर सकते हैं और इसके साथ ही इनकी रेटिंग भी कर सकते हैं।
- नागरिक माईगव वेबसाइट पर लॉग-इन करके अपने/संगठन/किसी और के नवाचार को इस प्लेटफॉर्म पर साझा कर सकते हैं।
- देश के नागरिक https://innovate.mygov.in/innovateindia/ के जरिए प्लेटफॉर्म पर पहुंच सकते हैं।
वेनेज़ुएला ने मुद्रा से पांच शून्य हटाने का निर्णय लिया'
- वेनेज़ुएला के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मदुरो ने 25 जुलाई 2018 को देश की मुद्रा (बोलिवर बिल्स) से पांच शून्य हटाने की घोषणा की।
- इसका मतलब यह हुआ कि दस लाख बोलिवर बिल्स अब दस बोलिवर बिल्स का माना जाएगा।
- मदुरो ने कैबिनेट की बैठक में घोषणा की कि देश में आर्थिक रिकवरी प्रोग्राम 20 अगस्त से शुरू होगा।
- वेनेजुएला के राष्ट्रपति के अनुसार घरेलू मुद्रा की सुरक्षा के लिए यह कदम उठाया जा रहा है।
- पांच शून्य कम होने से नई स्थिर वित्तीय व मौद्रिक प्रणाली लागू हो सकेगी।
6वीं भारत-ब्रिटेन विज्ञान और इनोवेशन काउंसिल (एसआईसी) की बैठक
- नई दिल्ली में आयोजित 6वीं भारत-ब्रिटेन विज्ञान और इनोवेशन काउंसिल (एसआईसी) की बैठक 26 जुलाई को संपन्न हुई।
- इस दौरान, विश्व की चुनौतियों का साझा तौर पर मुकाबला करने के लिये भारत और ब्रिटेन ने संयुक्त शोध प्रोजेक्टों की घोषणा की है।
- इस बैठक का उद्देश्य जल प्रदूषण, बीमारियों और जलवायु परिवर्तन जैसे चुनौतियों का समाधान करना है।
- विज्ञान एवं नवोन्मेषपरिषद की यह बैठक दो साल पर होती है।
- इस बारे में ब्रिटेन के विज्ञान मंत्री सैम गिमा ने विज्ञान एवं तकनीक मंत्री डा. हर्षवर्द्धन के साथ विज्ञान एवं नवोन्मेष परिषद बैठक की सहअध्यक्षता करने के बाद कहा कि साझा शोध एवं विकास प्रोजेक्टों के जरिये भारत और ब्रिटेन जनजीवन में बदलाव लाने को प्रतिबद्ध हैं।
- ब्रिटिश मंत्री चेन्नै भी जाएंगे जहां वह न्यूटन भाभा पार्टनरशिप के तहत चलाए जा रहे साझा प्रोजेक्टों को देखेंगे।
10वां ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन 2018 जोहान्सबर्ग में शुरू हुआ
- ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन का 10वां संस्करण जोहान्सबर्ग, दक्षिण अफ्रीका में शुरू हुआ।
- यह 3 दिवसीय शिखर सम्मेलन है और सभी ब्रिक्स नेता इसमें शामिल होंगे।
- भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी का अफ्रीका का तीन-राष्ट्र (रवांडा, युगांडा और जोहान्सबर्ग) दौरा इस सम्मलेन के बाद खत्म हो जाएगा।
- इस शिखर सम्मेलन का विषय ‘BRICS in Africa: Collaboration for inclusive growth and shared prosperity in the 4th Industrial Revolution' यानी अफ्रीका में ब्रिक्स - चौथी औद्योगिक क्रांति में समावेशी वृद्धि और साझा समृद्धि के लिये सहयोग’’ है।
- ब्रिक्स, B-ब्राजील, R-रूस, I-भारत, C-चीन और S-दक्षिण अफ्रीका से बना है।
- पहला ब्रिक्स शिखर सम्मेलन जून 2009 में रूस के येकाटेरिनबर्ग में आयोजित किया गया था।
मानव तस्करी रोकथाम एवं व्यक्तियों का दुर्व्यापार विधेयक को लोकसभा की मंजूरी मिली
- देश में व्यक्तियों खासकर महिलाओं और बच्चों की तस्करी पर पूरी तरह अंकुश लगाने और पीड़ितों का पुनर्वास सुनिश्चित करने के प्रावधान वाले ‘व्यक्तियों का दुर्व्यापार (निवारण, संरक्षण और पुनर्वास) विधेयक-2018’ को लोकसभा ने धवनिमत से मंजूरी दे दी।
- विधेयक पर महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री मेनका गांधी ने कहा कि यह विधेयक पूरी तरह पीड़ितों को केंद्रबिंदु में रखकर तैयार किया है और इसके दायरे में विदेशी नागरिक भी आएंगे।
- इस विधेयक के कानून बन जाने के बाद राष्ट्रीय तस्करी विरोधी ब्यूरो की स्थापना की जाएगी और स्थानीय स्तर पर पहले से मौजूद इकाइयां इसका सहयोग करेंगी। इसके साथ ही जिला स्तर पर मानव तस्करी विरोधी इकाइयां होगी जिसमें स्थानीय पुलिस के लोग भी शामिल होंगे।
- विधेयक में प्रावधान किया गया है कि मानव तस्करी से जुड़े मामलों की सुनवाई एक साल में पूरी की जाएंगी।
ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स 2018 में भारत 57वें स्थान पर
- ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स (GII) ने इनोवेटिव देशों की सूची में भारत को 57वें नंबर पर रखा है।
- आपको बता दें, भारत की रैंकिंग में 3 स्थान का सुधार हुआ है, पिछले साल भारत 60वें नंबर पर था।
- यह इंडेक्स कॉर्नेल यूनिवसिटी और वर्ल्ड इंटेलेक्चुअल प्रॉपर्टी ऑर्गनाइज़ेशन ने मिलकर तैयार किया है।
- ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स ने 126 अर्थव्यवस्थाओं की रैंकिंग की है। यह इसका 11वां संस्करण है।
- ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स (जीआईआई) का उद्देश्य नवाचार के बहु-आयामी (multi-dimensional) पहलुओं को पकड़ना और उन उपकरणों को प्रदान करना है, जो दीर्घकालिक उत्पादन वृद्धि को बढ़ावा देने के लिए नीतियों को तैयार करने में सहायता कर सकते हैं।
रमन मैगसेसे पुरस्कार 2018 विजेताओं में दो भारतीयों को चुना गया
- दो भारतीय समाजसेवियों - भरत वाटवानी और सोनम वांगचुक को नोबेल पुरस्कार का एशियाई संस्करण कहलाने वाले रमन मैगसेसे पुरस्कार से नवाजा जाएगा।
- भरत वाटवानी एक मनोवैज्ञानिक है, जो सड़क पर रहने वाले गरीब मनोरोगियों के संरक्षण के लिए काम करते हैं।
- सोनम वांगचुक को आर्थिक प्रगति के लिए विज्ञान और संस्कृति का रचनात्मक उपयोग करते हुए लद्दाखी युवाओं की जिंदगी सुधारने के लिए जाना जाता है।
- इन दोनों के चयन की जानकारी रमन मैगसेसे फाउंडेशन ने 26 जुलाई को दी।

पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा ने लोकायुक्त (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2018 पास किया
- पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभा ने 26 जुलाई 2018 को नया लोकायुक्त विधेयक पारित किया।
- इस विधेयक में राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री को लोकायुक्त के प्रभाव से बाहर रखा गया है। साथ-साथ विधेयक में यह भी कहा है कि राज्य सरकार के अधीन कार्यरत अधिकारियों पर राज्य सरकार की मंजूरी के बिना लोकायुक्त कारवाई नहीं कर सकता।
- यह विधेयक राज्य में लोकायुक्त विधेयक 2003 का स्थान लेगा, जिसे पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री बुद्धदेव भट्टाचार्य की सरकार ने लाया था।
- पुराने विधेयक में लोकायुक्त के पास मुख्यमंत्री के खिलाफ कारवाई करने के अधिकार था, जिसे खत्म कर दिया गया है।
- पश्चिम बंगाल लोकायुक्त विधेयक 2018 की धारा 8(A) में संशोधन किया गया है, जिसमें यह उल्लेख है कि मुख्यमंत्री का पद लोकायुक्त के दायरे में नहीं रहेगा और राज्य सरकार के अधिकारियों पर कारवाई करने से पूर्व सरकार से अनुमति लेनी होगी।
- नया नियम लोकपाल और लोकायुक्त विधेयक 2013 की धारा 14(1) के अनुसार है। जिसमें प्रधानमंत्री को लोकपाल के दायरे से मुक्त रखा गया है।
महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने बाघ संरक्षित क्षेत्रों के आसपास की जगहों को विकसित करने के लिए 124 करोड़ रुपये दिए
- महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने राज्य के बड़े बाघ संरक्षित क्षेत्र के आसपास के जगहों के विकास के लिए 124 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए हैं।
- इस राशि का इस्तेमाल गांवों के विकास और मेलघाट, ताडोबा, पेंच, सह्याद्री, नवीनगांव-नागजीरा और बोर के आसपास भूमि के लिए किया जाएगा।
- यह आवंटन 26 जुलाई 2018 को डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी जन वान विकास योजना के तहत किया गया।
- उद्देश्य : इस योजना का उद्देश्य बाघ संरक्षित क्षेत्र के बफर जोन को विकसित करना है।
सेबी ने सार्वजनिक मुद्दे की समयरेखा को कम करने के लिए यूपीआई का उपयोग करने का प्रस्ताव रखा है
- सिक्योरिटीज एंड एक्सचेंज बोर्ड ऑफ इंडिया (Sebi) ने 25 जुलाई को एकीकृत भुगतान इंटरफेस (Unified Payments Interface) का प्रस्ताव दिया।
- इस कदम से आईपीओ (initial public offerings) बंद करने में मदद मिलेगी।
- यूपीआई, भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) द्वारा नियुक्त एक इकाई और 'भारत के राष्ट्रीय भुगतान निगम (एनपीसीआई)' द्वारा विकसित एक त्वरित (instant) भुगतान प्रणाली है।
- चूंकि यूपीआई प्रणाली किसी भी दो इकाइयों के बीच धन के तत्काल हस्तांतरण की अनुमति देती है, इसलिए यह चेक भुगतानों को दूर करने में मदद करेगी।

6th India-UK Science & Innovation Council (SIC) Meeting held
o The 6th India-UK Science & Innovation Council (SIC) meeting held in New Delhi discussed a range of issues on S&T cooperation between the two countries
o Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences & Environment, Forests and Climate Change, India and Mr. Sam Gyimah, Minister for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation, UK led the Indian and UK delegations respectively.
o The last SIC meeting held in London on June 15, 2016 including establishment of Joint Virtual Centre on Clean Energy.
- About Joint Virtual Centre
o The UK-India Joint Virtual Clean Energy Centre was formed from three sub-centres coming together for a joint research effort.
o In the UK this is the Joint UK-India Clean Energy Centre (JUICE), and in India, the India-UK Centre for Education and Research in Clean Energy (IUCERCE) and the India-UK Clean Energy Research Centre (UKICERCE).
AIM, NITI Aayog & MyGov launches “Innovate India Platform”
o R Ramanan, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission and Arvind Gupta CEO, MyGov launched the “InnovateIndia Platform”,
o It is a collaboration between the Atal Innovation Mission and MyGov, a citizen-centric platform of the Government of India.
o The #InnovateIndia portal will serve as the common point for all the innovation happening across the nation.
o The #InnovateIndia MyGov-AIM portal creates the innovations platform for registering both grassroots and deep-tech innovators at a national level.
o The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) is a flagship initiative set up by the NITI Aayog to promote innovation and entrepreneurship across the length and breadth of the country, based on a detailed study and deliberations on innovation and entrepreneurial needs of India in the years ahead.
Two Indians among Ramon Magsaysay Award 2018 winners
- Two Indians -- one a psychiatrist who works for the mentally-ill street persons and another whose initiative to harness science and culture creatively for economic progress improved the lives of the Ladakhi youth - were declared the winners of this year's Ramon Magsaysay Award.
- Bharat Vaswani and Sonam Wangchuk are among six individuals who were declared winners of the award, regarded as the Asian version of the Nobel Prize.
- Vaswani, who is based in Mumbai, and his wife started an informal operation of bringing mentally-ill street persons to their private clinic for treatment, leading them to establish Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation in 1988.
- It aimed at rescuing mentally-ill persons living on the streets; providing free shelter, food, and psychiatric treatment; and reuniting them with their families.
- Wangchuck was a 19-year-old engineering student at the National Institute of Technology in Srinagar when he went into tutoring to finance his schooling and help woefully unprepared students pass the national college matriculation exams.
- In 1988, after earning his engineering degree, Wangchuk founded Students' Education and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL) and started coaching the Ladakhi student, 95% of whom used to fail the government exams.
- In 1994, with Wangchuk in the lead, Operation New Hope (ONH) was launched to expand and consolidate the partnership-driven educational reform programme.
- About Ramon Magsaysay Award :
- The current Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation is President Carmencita
- Established in 1957, the Ramon Magsaysay Award is Asia's highest honour.
- It celebrates the memory and leadership example of the third Philippine president after whom the award is named, and is given every year to individuals or organisations in Asia who manifest the same selfless service and transformative influence that ruled the life of the late and beloved Filipino leader.
Johannesburg Declaration issued during BRICS Summit
- The BRICS Forum ended their summit with a commitment to free and orderly global trade.
- The theme of the overall summit is “BRICS in Africa: Collaboration for Inclusive Growth and Shared Prosperity in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
- The New Development Bank(NDB) president KV Kamath said the bank had already dispersed $5.7-billion for 23 projects in the five BRICS countries and intended to push this by $7.8-billion by the end of 2018.
- What is in BRICS Kitty :
- Establishing the BRICS Sports Council and Sports Code.
- The BRICS leaders agreed that an equivalent New Development Bank regional centre for the Americas would be established in Sao Paulo in 2019 and then another regional centre in Russia soon.
- The declaration included the call for a comprehensive reform of the UN, including the Security Council, to make it more representative, especially of developing countries.
- Two BRICS members, China and Russia, have permanent seats on the UN Security Council, and the other three want permanent seats.
- The summit theme focusing on the digital or Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Johannesburg Declaration announced that the leaders had decided to establish an advisory group to fully operationalise the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (PartNIR) which is designed to increase co-operation.
- What are all Industrial Revolutions :
- The First Industrial Revolution used water and steam power to mechanize production.
- The Second used electric power to create mass production.
- The Third used electronics and information technology to automate production.
- Fourth Industrial Revolution is building on the Third, the digital revolution that has been occurring since the middle of the last century. It is characterized by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres.
- The Lok Sabha has passed the Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection and Rehabilitation) Bill 2018.
- The Bill provides for the prevention, rescue, and rehabilitation of trafficked persons and seeks to establish a National Anti-Trafficking Bureau to investigate trafficking cases.
- It also provides for the setting up of Anti-Trafficking Units (ATUs) at the district level which will deal with the investigation, prevention, rescue, and protection of victims and witnesses.
- A rehabilitation fund with an initial corpus of 10 crore rupees will be created for the first time which will be used for the physical, psychological and social well being of the victims.
- There will be designated courts in each district for speedy trial of the cases.
- Under the Bill buying and selling of human beings have been made cognizable offence for the first time and it will hit the organised manner of trafficking.
- The State Assembly passed the West Bengal Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2018 after the Supreme Court had pulled up 11 States over not appointing an ombudsman for graft cases.
- The Bill excludes the Chief Minister from the Lokayukta’s purview in matters relating to public order.
- According to bill, other than public order, the Lokayukta shall investigate any complaint relating to any allegation of corruption against the Chief Minister with the approval of West Bengal Legislative Assembly.
- The approval is given by a majority of two-third members present and voting.
Maharashtra to pump in ₹124 cr. to develop areas around tiger reserves
- Funds to be used for developing land and villages around six large reserves; five are in Vidarbha.
- The Maharashtra government has allotted ₹124 crore for the development of areas around the State’s large tiger reserves.
- The funds will be used for development of villages and land around Melghat, Tadoba, Pench, Sahyadri, Nawegaon-Nagriza and Bor.
- Of these, five reserves are located in the backward Vidarbha region, where sustainable development of villages would ensure the human-animal conflict is reduced.
- The allotment was made under the Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Jan Van Vikas Scheme, passed by the State Cabinet for the development of villages around tiger reserves in 2015.
- The scheme is applicable for five years.
- Use of this Scheme :
- The development of villages around the tiger reserves will reduce their dependence on the forest produce and move them towards agriculture.
India ranked 57th in Global Innovation Index 2018
- The Confederation of Indian Industry, in collaboration with Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council (PMEAC), is organizing the India Launch of Global Innovation Index 2018 (GII) Report in New Delhi.
- In the past eleven years, GII has become a leading benchmark for innovation and a ‘tool for action’ for decision makers across the world.
- It has led to nations improving their innovation metrics, removing obstacles in innovation and strengthening the eco-system through efficient policies.
- CII has been one of GII’s founding partners since its inception in 2007. It has been working actively with the Government in improving India’s rank in GII.
- India’s rank in GII moved up from 81 to 66 in 2016 and from 66 to 60 in 2017 and further from 60 to 57 in 2018.
- To maintain this momentum and to bring India among the top 25 countries in GII by 2025, CII has created this exclusive platform to share best practices from across the world.
- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced the removal of five zeroes from the country’s currency — two more than originally planned.
- New bolivar bills with three zeroes fewer would enter circulation on August 4 — a measure already pushed back from June 4 at the request of banks.
- Mr. Maduro blames hyperinflation on what he calls a “war” against the currency — which is in serious shortage — including exporting it to other countries such as neighbouring Colombia.
SEBI proposes using UPI to reduce public issue timeline
- The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has proposed allowing investors to use the unified payments interface (UPI) for bidding for shares in an initial public offer (IPO) to reduce the public issue timeline from the current T+6 to T+3.
- T+3 refers to a system wherein the equity shares would be listed on the bourses on the third day from the day the IPO closes for subscription.
- SEBI had reduced the IPO timeline from T+12 to T+6 in January 2016 by making ASBA mandatory for all investors.
- SEBI, however, said since UPI had a cap of ₹2 lakh for money transfer, institutional investors and high net worth individuals would be allowed to bid using the existing ASBA process.

- विज्ञान व तंत्रज्ञान क्षेत्रात सहकार्यांविषयी दोन्ही देशांमधील अनेक मुद्द्यांवर यावेळी चर्चा करण्यात आली. सामाजिक आव्हाने हाताळण्यासाठी प्रगत विज्ञान आणि तंत्रज्ञान उपाययोजना प्रदान करणारी न्यूटन-भाभा भागीदारीच्या यशाविषयी चर्चा करण्यात आली.
- BRICS शिखर परिषद 2018 याच्या समारोपी कार्यक्रमात ‘जोहान्सबर्ग घोषणापत्र’ स्वीकारण्यात आले आहे. यात BRICS राष्ट्रांनी आपल्या बहुपक्षीय व्यापार प्रणालीला बळकट करण्याचा संकल्प केला आहे. जागतिक व्यापार संघटना (WTO) याच्या सर्व सदस्यांना WTO तंटा निवारण प्रणालीमार्फत तंटा सोडवून बहुपक्षीय व्यापाराला प्रोत्साहन देण्यासाठी आवाहन केले गेले आहे.

- BRICS हा ब्राझील, रशिया, भारत, चीन आणि दक्षिण आफ्रिका या पाच राष्ट्रांचा समूह आहे. रशियाच्या येकतेरिनबर्ग शहरात 16 जून 2009 रोजी BRIC समूहाची पहिली औपचारिक परिषद आयोजित करण्यात आली. 2011 मध्ये BRIC समुहात दक्षिण आफ्रिकेचा समावेश करण्यात आला आणि समूहाला BRICS हे नाव दिले गेले. 2006 साली या समूहाची स्थापना करण्यात आली. 2009 सालापासून BRICS राष्ट्रे औपचारिक परिषदेत दरवर्षी भेट घेतात.
- 2018 सालच्या वैश्विक अभिनवता निर्देशांक (Global Innovation Index –GII 2018) यामध्ये भारत 57 व्या स्थानी आहे. गेल्या वर्षी या निर्देशांकमध्ये भारत 60 वे स्थान होते.
- भारत कमी मध्यम उत्पन्न श्रेणीत शीर्ष प्रदर्शन करणारा ठरला आहे, जेथे त्याचा पाचवा क्रमांक आहे. भारत मध्य आणि दक्षिणी आशियात सर्वात अभिनवपूर्ण देश ठरला.
- 2011 सालापासून स्वित्झर्लंड GIIमध्ये शीर्ष स्थानी आहे. यावर्षी देखील तो अग्रस्थानी आहे. त्यानंतर नेदरलँड, स्वीडन यांचा क्रम लागतो.
- वैश्विक अभिनवता निर्देशांक (Global Innovation Index –GII) याला पेरिस स्थित बिजनेस स्कूल इनसीड, जागतिक बौद्धिक संपदा संघटना (WIPO) आणि कॉर्नेल विद्यापीठ यांच्याकडून विकसित केले जाते. GIIने 126 अर्थव्यवस्थांचा 80 निर्देशकांच्या आधारावर क्रम दिला गेला आहे. यावर्षीची ही GIIची 11 वी आवृत्ती आहे.
- व्हेनेझुएलाचे राष्ट्राध्यक्ष निकोलस मॅडुरो यांनी पाच शून्य असलेले राष्ट्रीय चलन बाद करण्याची घोषणा केली आहे.
- देशात महागाई आणि कर्ज अत्याधिक वाढण्याच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर "आर्थिक पुनर्प्राप्ती" कार्यक्रमाचा एक भाग म्हणून हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे. हा निर्णय 20 ऑगस्ट 2018 पासून लागू केला जाईल.
- परंतु IMF ने त्याच्या अंदाजपत्रकात या वर्षाच्या अखेरीपर्यंत देशाची महागाई एक दशलक्ष टक्के एवढी अंदाजित केली आहे. या परिस्थितीला हायपरइन्फ्लेमेशन असे म्हणतात. यावर्षी तेल उत्पादनात घट झाल्याने व्हेनेझुएलाच्या उत्पन्नात या वर्षी 18% एवढी घट होईल अशी अपेक्षा आहे.
अर्थव्यवस्था आणि बँकिंग
IPO मध्ये UPI चा पर्याय ठेवण्याचा SEBI चा प्रस्ताव- भारतीय सिक्युरिटीज व विनिमय मंडळाने (SEBI) इनिशियल पब्लिक ऑफरमध्ये समभागांची खरेदी करण्यासाठी किरकोळ गुंतवणूकदारांना एक पर्यायी देयकाचा पर्याय म्हणून युनिफाइड पेमेंट इंटरफेस (UPI) सुविधा सादर करण्याचा प्रस्ताव मांडला आहे.
- युनिफाइड पेमेंट इंटरफेस (UPI) ही भारत राष्ट्रीय देयक महामंडळ (NPCI) याने विकसित केलेली तत्काळ देयक प्रणाली आहे. हे एखाद्या व्यक्तीच्या बँक खात्याची विशिष्ट ओळख असलेल्या देयक पत्त्याद्वारे कोणत्याही व्यक्तीच्या बँक खात्यांमध्ये पैशाच्या तत्काळ हस्तांतरणास परवानगी देते.
- भारतीय सिक्युरिटीज व विनिमय मंडळ (SEBI) हे भारतामधील सिक्युरिटीज बाजारपेठेचे नियामक आहे. 1988 साली याची स्थापना केली गेली आणि SEBI अधिनियम 1992 अन्वये 30 जानेवारी 1992 रोजी आला वैधानिक दर्जा दिला गेला. याचे मुंबईमध्ये मुख्यालय आहे.
राज्य
पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभेने ‘लोकायुक्त (दुरूस्ती) विधेयक-2018’ मंजूर केले- पश्चिम बंगाल विधानसभेत ‘लोकायुक्त (दुरूस्ती) विधेयक-2018’ मंजूर करण्यात आले आहे. या विधेयकामधून 2003 सालच्या कायद्यात सुधारणा केली जाणार आहे.
- या विधेयकानुसार राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री भ्रष्टाचाराशी संबंधित प्रकरणांमध्ये हस्तक्षेप करू शकणार नाही. मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालयाला लोकायुक्तांच्या कार्यकक्षेतून बाहेर ठेवण्यात आले आहे.
- महाराष्ट्र राज्य शासनाने व्याघ्र प्रकल्पांच्या आसपासच्या परिसराचा विकास करण्यासाठी सुमारे 124 कोटी रुपयांच्या निधीची तरतूद केली आहे.
- या निधीचा वापर मेळघाट, ताडोबा, पेंच, सह्याद्री, नवेगाव-नागझीरा आणि बोर येथील व्याघ्र प्रकल्पांच्या सभोवती असलेल्या गावांच्या विकासासाठी केला जाईल. गावांचा शाश्वत विकास करून मानव-पशु संघर्ष कमी करण्यासाठी उपाययोजना केल्या जाणार आहेत.
पुरस्कार
भारत वातवानी आणि सोनाम वांगचक: रेमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्काराचे विजेते- भारत वातवानी आणि सोनाम वांगचक या दोन भारतीयांना यावर्षीचे रेमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्कार दिले जाणार आहे. या दोघांसोबतच आणखी चार विजेत्यांची नावे घोषित करण्यात आली आहेत.
- भारत वातवानी यांनी मुंबईत 1988 साली श्रद्धा रिहॅबिलीटेशन फाउंडेशनची स्थापना केली आणि मानसिकदृष्ट्या आजारी व्यक्तींची सुषुश्रा करीत आहेत. तर सोनाम वांगचक यांनी दुर्गम उत्तर भारतात शिक्षण प्रणाली सुधारण्यासाठी योगदान दिले आहे.
- रेमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्कार हा फिलिपाईन्सचे माजी राष्ट्राध्यक्ष रेमन मॅगसेसे यांच्या सन्मानार्थ दिला जाणारा वार्षिक पुरस्कार आहे. हा पुरस्कार फिलिपिन्स सरकारच्या सहमतीने न्यूयॉर्क शहरामधील रॉकफेलर ब्रदर्स फंडच्या विश्वस्त मंडळाद्वारे एप्रिल 1957 पासून दरवर्षी दिला जातो. रेमन मॅगसेसे पुरस्कार फाउंडेशन तर्फे आयोजित केल्या जाणार्या समारंभात आपापल्या क्षेत्रात उत्कृष्टता मिळविणार्या आशियाई व्यक्तींना पुरस्कार दिला जातो. हा पुरस्कार सन 2009 पासून दोन श्रेणीमध्ये दिला जातो - 1) उदयोन्मुख नेतृत्व (2001 सालापासून) 2) वर्गीकृत नसलेले (2009 सालापासून).
