5 दिसंबर को लॉन्च होगा GSAT -11
भारत का सबसे भारी संचार उपग्रह ''GSAT -11'' 5 दिसंबर, 2018 को फ्रांसीसी गुयाना से 'एरियाने-5' रॉकेट द्वारा कक्षा में भेजा जाएगा।भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) के अनुसार, GSAT-11 का वजन 5,854 किलो है और यह भारत का सबसे भारी उपग्रह है। यह मिशन अगले 15 वर्षों के लिए होगा।
जीएसएटी -11 देशभर में ब्रॉडबैंड सेवाएं प्रदान करने में एक महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएगा।
भारत -जापान के बीच वायुसेना अभ्यास
जापानी एयर सेल्फ डिफेंस फोर्स (जेएएसडीएफ) ने भारतीय वायुसेना (आईएएफ) के साथ 3 दिसंबर को एक द्विपक्षीय वायु अभ्यास में हिस्सा लिया।"शिन्यू मैत्री -18" (SHINYUU Maitri-18) नामक यह अभ्यास 3-7 दिसंबर के बीच आयोजित किया जा रहा है।
उत्तर प्रदेश के आगरा वायुसेना स्टेशन में आयोजित इस अभ्यास का विषय, 'परिवहन विमान पर संयुक्त गतिशीलता और मानवीय सहायता और आपदा राहत (एचएडीआर)' है।
जेएएसडीएफ का 'सी 2' विमान इस पहले वायु अभ्यास का हिस्सा होंगे जबकि भारतीय वायुसेना (आईएएफ) की तरफ से 'एएन -32' और 'सी -17' विमान मोर्चा संभालेंगे।
लक्ष्य सेन ने जीता टाटा ओपन इंटरनेशनल चैलेंज खिताब
भारत के बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी लक्ष्य सेन ने थाईलैंड के कुनलावत वितिदसार्न को हराकर टाटा ओपन इंटरनेशनल चैलेंज खिताब अपने नाम कर लिया है। यह उनका पहला इंटरनेशनल चैलेंज खिताब है। पिछले बार लक्ष्य सेन उप विजेता रहे थे।
वहीं महिला वर्ग में अस्मिता चालिहा ने 8वीं रुषाली गुमादी को आधे घंटे में हराकर अपने करियर का दूसरा सीनियर इंटरनेशनल खिताब जीता।
सुमित रेड्डी और आरआर अर्जुन की पुरुष युगल जोड़ी भी खिताबी मुकाबले में जी फेई गोह और नूर इजुद्दीन की मलेशिया की शीर्ष वरीय जोड़ी को 21-10, 21-16 से हराकर खिताब जीतने में सफल रही।
महिला युगल के फाइनल मे मेघना जक्कमपुडी और पूर्विशा एस राम की भारत की शीर्ष वरीय जोड़ी को एनजी विंग युंग और युंग एनगा टिंग की हांगकांग की दूसरी वरीय जोड़ी के खिलाफ 10-21, 11-21 से शिकस्त झेलनी पड़ी।
आगरा में भालू पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन शुरू
- उत्तर प्रदेश में 11 देशों के 80 से अधिक प्रतिनिधि आगरा में भालू पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन (3-6 दिसंबर) में भाग लिया।
- चार दिवसीय इस सम्मेलन का लक्ष्य भालू और अन्य जंगली जानवरों के कल्याण के सिद्धांतों, ज्ञान, अभयारण्यों और बचाव केंद्रों में ज्ञान साझा करना है।
- बता दें, अमेरिका और कनाडा से भालू देखभाल समूह के सहयोग से वन्यजीव एसओएस द्वारा सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया है।
- अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतिनिधि अमेरिका, कनाडा, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, ब्रिटेन, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, डेमर्क, नीदरलैंड, वियतनाम आदि से आए हैं।
पवन सिंह आईएसएसएफ की न्यायाधीश समिति के लिए चुने जाने वाले पहले भारतीय
- पवन सिंह को अंतरराष्ट्रीय निशानेबाजी खेल महासंघ (International Shooting Sport Federation) की जज समिति का सदस्य चुना गया है। वह इस समिति के सदस्य बनने वाले पहले भारतीय हैं।
- पवन सिंह भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राइफल संघ (एनआरएआई) में संयुक्त सचिव पद पर हैं। वह राष्ट्रीय निशानेबाजी टीम के पूर्व कोच रह चुके हैं।
- बता दें, आईएसएसएफ चुनाव हर चार साल में होते हैं। कुछ दिन पहले ही एनआरएआई के अध्यक्ष रानिंदर सिंह आईएसएसएफ के उपाध्यक्ष बनने वाले पहले भारतीय बने थे।
- जज समिति में अध्यक्ष और सात सदस्य होते हैं। यह निशानेबाजी नियमों के एकीकृत इस्तेमाल के लिये जिम्मेदार है, अंतरराष्ट्रीय जजों के लिये निर्देश उपलब्ध कराती है तथा जजों और ज्यूरी सदस्यों के लिये पाठ्यक्रम तैयार करती है और उसका आयोजन करती है।
विश्व बैंक ने जलवायु के लिए 2021-25 के दौरान 200 अरब डॉलर और देने का वादा किया
- विश्व बैंक ने 2021-25 के दौरान जलवायु परिवर्तन की समस्या से निपटने के लिए 200 अरब डॉलर के निवेश की एक योजना घोषित की।
- विश्व बैंक ने बयान में कहा कि इस 200 अरब डॉलर की राशि में से करीब 100 अरब डॉलर प्रत्यक्ष वित्त होगा। करीब एक-तिहाई वित्त पोषण विश्व बैंक समूह की एजेंसियों से और शेष निजी पूंजी होगी जो विश्व बैंक जुटाएगा।
- ओईसीडी के सदस्य देशों के आंकड़ों के अनुसार विकसित देश जलवायु परिवर्तन की चुनौती से निपटने को विकासशील देशों में सार्वजनिक और निजी वार्षिक खर्च को बढ़ाकर 100 अरब डॉलर पर लाने को प्रतिबद्ध हैं। यह आंकड़ा 2016 में 48.5 अरब डॉलर और 2017 में 56.7 अरब डॉलर था।
क्यों बढ़ाई गई फंडिंग
- जलवायु परिवर्तन के कारण दुनिया के तापमान में वृद्धि हो रही है। इसका असर सामान्य मौसम पर भी पड़ रहा है। इस समस्या से दुनिया के सभी देश चिंतित हैं। खासतौर पर छोटे और गरीब देश।
- इसके अलावा ये देश विकसित और अमीर देशों पर भी दबाव डाल रहे हैं कि साल 2015 में पैरिस समझौते के दौरान हुए वादों को वह पूरा करें।
- जलवायु परिवर्तन के घातक परिणाम का शिकार कोई एक नहीं बल्कि कई देश हो रहे हैं। दुनियाभर में समुद्र का जल स्तर बढ़ता जा रहा है।
- इसके अलावा जंगलों में भी भीषण आग, लू और तूफान जैसी खबरें आ रही हैं। इन सबसे न केवल संपत्ति बल्कि जान माल को भी काफी नुकसान पहुंच रहा है, जिसका सीधा प्रभाव देश की अर्थव्यवस्था और विकास पर पड़ता है।
भारत और एडीबी ने 'ओडिशा कौशल विकास परियोजना' के लिए 85 मिलियन डॉलर के समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए
- एशियाई विकास बैंक (एडीबी) ने कहा है कि वह ओडिशा में कौशल विकास सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने के लिये 8.50 करोड़ का कर्ज उपलब्ध करायेगा।
- इसके लिये भुवनेश्वर में एक आधुनिक कौशल प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र की भी स्थापना की जायेगी।
- इस परियोजना के तहत डेढ लाख लोगों को प्राथमिक क्षेत्र में कौशल सीखने में मदद मिलेगी। प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त लोगों में इन क्षेत्रों में औपचारिक रोजगार मिल सकेगा।
- भुवनेश्वर में बनने वाले विश्व कौशल केन्द्र में 13,000 छात्रों को आठ पाठ्यक्रमों में पूर्णकालिक प्रशिक्षण दिया जा सकेगा। इसमें 5,000 अध्यापकों को भी प्रशिक्षित किया जायेगा।
नौसेना दिवस : 4 दिसंबर
- प्रतिवर्ष 4 दिसंबर को नौसेना दिवस या Indian Navy Day मनाया जाता है।
- नौसेना दिवस 1971 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध में भारतीय नौसेना (Indian Navy) की जीत के जश्न के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
- पाकिस्तानी सेना ने 3 दिसंबर को हमारे हवाई क्षेत्र और सीमावर्ती क्षेत्र में हमला किया था. इस हमले ने 1971 के युद्ध की शुरुआत की थी।
- पाकिस्तान को जवाब देने के लिए 'ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट' चलाया गया था।
भारतीय नौसेना का इतिहास
- भारतीय नौसेना, भारतीय सेना का सामुद्रिक अंग है, जिसकी स्थापना 1612 में हुई थी।
- ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी ने अपने जहाजों की सुरक्षा के लिए East India Company's Marine के रूप में सेना गठित की थी. जिसे बाद में रॉयल इंडियन नौसेना नाम दिया गया।
- भारत की आजादी के बाद 1950 में नौसेना का गठन फिर से हुआ और इसे भारतीय नौसेना नाम दिया गया।

5.8-tonne GSAT-11 to be launched on Dec 5
Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch India’s heaviest communication satellite GSAT 11 from Guiana Space Centre, South America on 5 Dec 2018.
The 5,854-kg satellite, almost double the biggest one built or launched by ISRO to date, will ride up on European launch vehicle Ariane 5 ECA, numbered VA246.
GSAT-11 is part of ISRO’s new family of high-throughput communication satellite (HTS) fleet that will drive the country's Internet broadband from space to untouched areas.
India is already two HTS named GSAT 19 and GSAT 29 and GSAT 11 will be third to join them. It will provide 100 GBPS internet speed to Indian users,
GSAT-11 will play a vital role in providing broadband services across the country. It will also provide a platform to demonstrate new generation applications.
Exercise SHINYUU Maitri 18 between Indian and Japan's Air Force begins
The Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) is in India for a bilateral air exercise "SHINYUU Maitri-18" with the Indian Air Force (IAF) from December 3-7.
The theme of the exercise, held at the Air Force station in Agra in northern state of Uttar Pradesh, is joint mobility and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) on transport aircraft.
The JASDF's 'C2' aircraft along with aircrew and observers are part of this first air exercise between the two air forces.
The IAF is participating with 'AN-32' and 'C-17' aircraft with aircrew and observers.
Tata Open 2018: Shuttle Lakshya Sen wins the title
The 17 years old Indian shutller Lakshya Sen won his first Tata Open Badminton Championship title by defeating Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn 21-15 21-10.In the women’s singles, Ashmita Chahila won the title by defeating Vrushali Gummadi.
International Conference on Bears starts in Agra
More than 80 delegates from 11 countries are participating in an international conference on bears being organised in the Agra for the first time.
Hosted by Wildlife SOS, a conservation non-profit, the conference from December 3-6 is focused on bear care, wildlife conservation and human wildlife conflict mitigation and is in collaboration with Bear Care Group from the US and Canada.
The conference aims to share knowledge on principles of welfare of bears and other wild animals in zoos, sanctuaries and rescue centres.
The international delegates have come from the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, Demark, the Netherlands, Vietnam etc.
Pawan Singh first Indian to be elected to ISSF's Judges Committee
Pawan Singh has become the first Indian to be elected one of seven member's of the Judges Committee of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF).Mr Singh also holds the post of the Joint Secretary General of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).
Singh got elected onto the seven members’ Judges Committee for which 22 candidates from all over the world were in fray. Members of the administrative council of ISSF voted to select the committee during the elections held at Munich on Sunday. The ISSF elections take place every four years.
World Bank unveils USD 200 bn in Climate action investment for 2021-25
The World Bank has unveiled 200 billion US Dollars in climate action investment for 2021 to 2025, adding that this amounts to a doubling of its current five-year funding. The move coincides with a UN climate summit in Katowice.The World Bank said the $200 billion would comprise approximately $100 billion in direct finance from the bank and the remaining funding will come from two World Bank Group agencies and private capital “mobilised by the World Bank Group”.
Conference of Parities Meeting (COP) 24
COP 24 is being held in Katowice, Poland. COP meetings are intended to bring the world’s leaders together to discuss tackling climate change. The Paris Agreement was created during COP21 in 2015.
While many countries are well on their way to meeting goals of that agreement, several larger countries are not in attendance at this year’s conference, including the U.S., which withdrew from the agreement under President Donald Trump.
The UN predicts that in order to contain global warming at 1.5°C, man-made global net carbon dioxide emissions will need to fall by about 45% by 2030 from 2010 levels and reach “net zero” by 2050.
India, ADB sign 85 mn dollar agreement for Odisha skill development project
India and Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed an 85 million dollar loan to improve skill development eco-system in Odisha. An advanced skill training centre, the World Skill Center (WSC) will also be established in Bhubaneswar with the help of a loan.The Odisha Skill Development Project agreement was signed by Additional Secretary in the Finance Ministry Sameer Kumar Khare and Country Director of ADB’s India Resident Mission Kenichi Yokoyama in New Delhi on 03 Dec.
How it will help people of Odisha?
The project will help over 1.5 lakh people learn skills in priority sectors, including manufacturing, construction and services for formal employment. The Skill Centre will deliver eight training courses for 13 thousand students and provide training to five thousand teachers.
It will improve the overall eco-system of skill development by providing integrated services through an entrepreneurship incubation centre, a career counselling and placement centre and education technology deployment centre.
The project will engage Singapore's Institute of Technical Education Services (ITEES) to support Odisha Skill Development Authority in setting-up and operationalizing WSC which would offer internationally bench marked advanced training programs for the working age population of Odisha.
Navy Day: 4 December
India is commemorating the 47th Navy Day on 04 December.Why it Navy Day is celebrated?
It was on this day in 1971 that Indian Navy left its shores for the very first time to successfully attack Pakistan. Operation Trident, the codename for the naval attack on Karachi, is considered one of the most successful operations in the post-World War II era.
It all began when Pakistan launched pre-emptive airstrikes against India’s air bases on 3 December 1971. However, Pakistan failed to neutralise India’s air force, leading to India’s entry into the Bangladesh War.
Indian Navy: Guardian of the Indian Ocean
The Indian Navy of the 21st century is emerging as a formidable force likely to influence the Indian Ocean Region.
Indian Navy is looking at inducting 56 warships and submarines to enhance its strength. This is apart from 32 warships under construction.
In dynamic blue water wars, aircraft carrier play an important role and considered a strength. India has only one carrier named INS Vikramaditya. It accommodates 30 MIG 29 and six Kamov helicopters. It is expected to be battle ready in May 2019.
India doesn’t have enough submarines which can be a cause of concern for the Indian Navy. China has 60 conventional submarines, on the other hand, India has only 14 submarines and top of that some of them may be soon defunct.
India has two nuclear submarines: 1. INS Chakra 2. INS Arihant India entered the elite club of countries like Russia, China and France that possess nuclear powered submarines.
It means India can launch a nuclear strike from air, land and water.

भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्था (ISRO) कडून निर्मित आतापर्यंतचा सर्वात वजनदार ‘जीसॅट-11’ (GSAT-11) या उपग्रहाला दि. 5 डिसेंबर 2018 रोजी फ्रेंच गियानाच्या उड्डाण केंद्रावरून अवकाशात पाठवले जाणार आहे.या उपग्रहासोबतच कोरियन अंतराळ संशोधन केंद्राचा एक उपग्रह देखील ‘एरियन -5’ या प्रक्षेपकाद्वारे प्रक्षेपित केला जाणार आहे.
ISRO द्वारा निर्मित आतापर्यंतच्या सर्व उपग्रहांमध्ये जीसॅट-11 हा उपग्रह सर्वाधिक वजनदार असून, तो पुढल्या पिढीचा ‘हाय थ्रूपुट’ दळणवळण उपग्रह आहे. 5854 किलोग्राम वजनी या भारतीय उपग्रहाच्या मदतीने भारतात ब्रॉडबँड सेवा सहज उपलब्ध करून देता येणार. शिवाय इंटरनेटचा वेगसुद्धा वाढण्यास मदत होऊ शकणार.
GSAT (geosynchronous satellite/जीसॅट) हे उपग्रह भारताच्या भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्था (ISRO) कडून विकसित करण्यात आलेला उपग्रह आहे. हा मुख्यतः चलचित्रांचे प्रक्षेपण, माहितीचे दळणवळण याकरिता उपयोगात आणला जातो. GSAT पृथ्वीच्या 3500 किलोमीटर अंतरावर असलेल्या भूस्थिर कक्षेत पाठवले जाते.
भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्था (ISRO) ही भारत सरकारची प्रमुख अंतराळ संस्था आहे. याचे बंगळुरू येथे मुख्यालय आहे. 1962 साली स्वतंत्र भारताचे पहिले पंतप्रधान जवाहरलाल नेहरू आणि शास्त्रज्ञ विक्रम साराभाई यांच्या प्रयत्नांमुळे, 15 ऑगस्ट 1969 रोजी स्थापित ISRO ने 1962 साली स्थापित इंडियन नॅशनल कमिटी फॉर स्पेस रीसर्च (INCOSPAR) संस्थेला बदलले. ही संस्था विज्ञान व तंत्रज्ञान विभागाकडून व्यवस्थापित केली जाते. ISRO चा पहिला उपग्रह ‘आर्यभट्ट’ 19 एप्रिल 1975 रोजी सोव्हिएत युनियनने प्रक्षेपित केला. 1980 साली, भारतीय बनावटीचे प्रक्षेपक SLV-2 द्वारे ‘रोहिणी’ हा उपग्रह पाहिल्यादा प्रक्षेपित करण्यात आला. 22 ऑक्टोबर 2008 रोजी भारताची ‘चंद्रायान-1’ मोहीम यशस्वी झाली. त्यानंतर ‘मार्स ऑर्बिटर मिशन (MOM)’ ने 24 सप्टेंबर 2014 रोजी यशस्वीरित्या मंगळ ग्रहाच्या कक्षेत प्रवेश केला आणि पहिल्याच प्रयत्नात मंगळ ग्रहाच्या कक्षेत यशस्वीपणे पोहोचणारा पहिला देश ठरला.
‘शिन्यूयु मैत्री-18’: भारत आणि जपान यांचा संयुक्त हवाई सराव
दि. 03 डिसेंबर 2018 रोजी जपान एयर सेल्फ डिफेन्स फोर्स (JASDF) आणि भारतीय हवाई दल यांचा ‘शिन्यूयु मैत्री-18’ या संयुक्त हवाई सरावाला आग्रा (भारत) शहरातील तळावर सुरुवात झाली. हा सराव दि. 7 डिसेंबर पर्यंत चालणार आहे.
‘जाइंट मोबिलिटी/ह्यूमॅनिटेरियन असिस्टन्स अँड डिजास्टर रिलीफ (HADR) ऑन ट्रान्सपोर्ट एयरक्राफ्ट’ ही या सरावाची संकल्पना आहे. यावेळी पहिल्यांदाच या सरावाला सुरुवात करण्यात आली आहे.
जपान प्रशांत महासागर प्रदेशातला एक बेट राष्ट्र आहे. या देशाची राजधानी टोकियो हे शहर आहे आणि जपानी येन हे राष्ट्रीय चलन आहे.
आग्रा शहरात ‘आंतरराष्ट्रीय भालू परिषद’ आयोजित
दि. 3 डिसेंबर 2018 रोजी उत्तरप्रदेश राज्याच्या आग्रा शहरात ‘आंतरराष्ट्रीय भालू परिषद’ याला सुरुवात झाली.
भालू या वन्यप्राण्याच्या संरक्षणार्थ आणि संवर्धनार्थ प्रयत्न करण्याच्या उद्देशाने, या परिषदेत मानवी-वन्यजीवन संघर्षांवर लक्ष केंद्रित केले गेले आहे.
तीन दिवस चालणार्या या परिषदेत 11 देशांमधून 80 प्रतिनिधी सहभागी झाले आहेत. अमेरिका आणि कॅनडा या देशांमधील बियर केयर ग्रुपसह ‘वाइल्ड लाइफ SOS’ ही संस्था या परिषदेचे आयोजक आहे.
पवन सिंग: ISSFच्या पंच समितीचे सदस्य बनणारे पहिले भारतीय
पवन सिंग यांची आंतरराष्ट्रीय नेमबाजी क्रिडा महासंघ (ISSF) याच्या पंच समितीमध्ये निवड करण्यात आली आहे. ते सात सदस्य असलेल्या या समितीचा भाग बनणारे पहिले भारतीय आहे.
सिंग यांच्याकडे नॅशनल रायफल असोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (NRAI) याच्या संयुक्त महासचिव पदाची देखील जबाबदारी आहे.
संघटनेविषयी -
1907 साली आंतरराष्ट्रीय नेमबाजी क्रिडा महासंघ (ISSF)ची स्थापना करण्यात आली आणि याचे मुख्यालय म्यूनिच (जर्मनी) येथे आहे. दरवर्षी चार स्पर्धा घेतल्या जातात. सर्वोत्तम नेमबाजांसाठी 1988 सालापासून ISSF विश्वचषक अंतिम ही स्पर्धा आयोजित करण्यात येत आहे.
2021-25 साठी पर्यावरण विषयक गुंतवणूकीसाठी WB कडून $200 अब्जचा निधी घोषित
हवामानातील बदलांशी जुळवून घेण्यासाठी जगभरात चाललेल्या पर्यावरण विषयक प्रकल्पांना निधी पुरविण्याच्या उद्देशाने, जागतिक बँकेनी (WB) 2021-25 या कालावधीसाठी $200 अब्ज इतक्या निधीची घोषणा केली आहे.
पोलंड देशाच्या काटोवाईस शहरात सुरू असलेल्या ‘संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघ हवामानविषयक बदल करार कार्यचौकट’ (UNFCCC) याच्या 24व्या पक्ष परिषदेत (COP-24) ही घोषणा केली गेली.
बहुतांश निधी अक्षय ऊर्जेच्या सहाय्याने हरितगृह वायूंचे उत्सर्जन कमी करण्यासाठी वापरला जाईल.
जागतिक बँक (WB) ही भांडवल पुरविण्यासाठी विकसनशील देशांना कर्ज देणारी एक आंतरराष्ट्रीय वित्तीय संस्था आहे. जागतिक बँक हा संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघ प्रणालीचा एक भाग आहे. अमेरिकेची राजधानी वॉशिंग्टन, डी.सी. येथे जागतिक बँकेचे मुख्यालय आहे. यामध्ये आंतरराष्ट्रीय पुनर्रचना आणि विकास बँक (International Bank for Reconstruction and Development- IBRD) आणि आंतरराष्ट्रीय विकास महामंडळ (International Development Association -IDA), अश्या दोन संस्थांचा समावेश आहे. आंतरराष्ट्रीय नाणेनिधी (IMF) आणि तीन इतर संस्थांसह जागतिक बँकेची स्थापना 1944 सालच्या ब्रेटोन वूड्स परिषदेत करण्यात आली.
